Brunch at Ssam Momofuku
Here’s a sampling of food porn from my recent brunch at Ssam Momofuku. I enjoyed. And afterwards, I enjoyed even more at Momofuku Milk Bar. Yes, there is a statue of David Chang in my living room. What? Is that weird? Who doesn’t have one?

An excellent selection of real ginger ales. I was very partial to the one from Maine.

Softshell crab steamed bun. Softshell crab is the kind of food that fares excellently as breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hell, I just had one with my Oolong tea and crumpets.

Homemade buttermilk biscuit with gravy and scrambled eggs. Very few restaurants actually know how to make a proper egg scramble. The key isn’t so much in scrambling the egg but really in taking the cooking eggs off and on from the heat source. I like to add creme fraiche to mine but David Chang’s version suits me just fine.

Ok, so this dish was simply out of control. I felt it was too good to be true and thought the food police may arrest me for gluttony and intoxication.
Here we have a homemade english muffin topped with a poached egg and a mushroom whose name I forget. This dish is NOT TO BE MISSED when dining here.

Side view of the the english muffin/poached egg dish.

Someone I was with really like steamed pork bun with their sriracha.
