Does anybody else love POUTINE as much as I do?
If so, then you know there is a dearth of restaurants, cafes, and fast food establishments that serve the fatty franco fries in NYC. I love me some crispy fries basking in chicken gravy and sprinkled with cheese curds. Add some peppercorns for a little spice and you have a meal fit for Henry VII. I reminisce of road-trips past to Quebec city where I had poutine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s my mistress and I can’t wait to woo her again.

Anyways, Bowery Boogie reports today of “a trendy French fast-food joint” called T-Poutine coming to the lower east side on Ludlow St. If the rumor is in fact a FACT, then I can’t imagine it being a French place but a Quebecois fast-food joint. Poutine hails from Quebec. Not France. I’ve never had poutine in France. So I’m assuming that’s an error. But I stray from my point. I’m a little excited about this T-Poutine. Actually, a lot excited I am. I’ve struggled with Pommes Frites poutine when I need me a quick fix but it’s sub-par at best (yet it’s still the best current poutine in NYC).
Let’s see if T-Poutine can dethrone Pommes Frites. It shouldn’t be overly difficult.
Update: They are indeed Quebecois!
